I’m David Medero. I was born and raised in a Deaf family. I’m currently in Louisiana with my wife and daughter. I am originally from Bronx, NY. I attended Louisiana technology College to pursue the profession of becoming an automotive mechanic. I was doing this career for 16 years before injuring myself. Due to my elbow injuries that limit me from work on extreme conditions/environment, I couldn’t bear with all the pain I had to endure for so long time. My automotive career ended. But the pain doesn’t stop me because my hands and facial expression is my other talent! 

I have BIG passions for deaf-grassroots community. I strongly believe in giving back to the Deaf community. I am one of 2 founders who brought back Baton Rouge Association of the Deaf (BRAD) back in 2017. It is already in its 7th year! 

I ask myself what challenge am I looking for? Can I promote you to thrive from learning ASL? I say YES SLC is the answer! Let’s do it! Happy to be here.
